What is the output from all this training?

In recent times, it has become increasing difficult to demonstrate return on investment through training.

This doesn’t mean that it should all be called into question; any time spent considering soft skills and the environment your team and guests find themselves in is time well spent. However, the fact remains that this is difficult to quantify, and can lead to some trainees paying lip service to the trainings outcomes, instead of really applying the theory. Therefore, by its very nature, soft skill outcomes can be subjective.

Hard skills training is an exercise in ones and zero’s, and a chance to raise the bar of standard operating procedures, the potential for business success, and for individual’s progression.

For Business Owners:

• The hard skill training programs from 101 are different in this regard. The ability to read a P&L, or manipulate a site GP, increase turnover in the ‘right’ way or lower staff costs without affecting service, will lead to very real, bottom line returns for any business.

• We have a real life testing system for each module, which your employees will receive accreditations for that are industry recognised. The more modules they come through the more fully they are able to run any business. We will be in constant support after they pass any module thanks to the 101 subscription services.

• For those employees working at higher levels, or for those that have come through all the modules, we offer the final piece or of testing services, the internal Dissertation / Presentation.

• Candidates will, with 101 support, identify an area of the business that they think they can improve on, write a dissertation on that part of the business, and produce a Presentation to the Directors or the Board own the findings and their intentions. This is an incredible piece of staff engagement.

• When coming through the 101 syllabus, any and all of these qualifications represent an opportunity to stand out from the rest of the candidates with an industry accepted accreditation.

• The modules represent a chance to fill out the building blocks that everyone in this industry has so far had to work out for themselves. “Can you work out the GP of something with a pen and a piece of paper?”, is a question that will no longer be met with a pause, but a confident and well explained answer that shows understanding and the ability to teach.
